Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to common questions about CWAS.
What is CWAS?
CWAS (Community Water Access Scheduler) is an AI-powered platform that helps communities in Madagascar manage water distribution fairly and efficiently. It allows households to book water collection time slots, helps coordinators manage sources, and uses AI to optimize scheduling.
How do I register?
Click the "Get Started" or "Register" button on our homepage. Fill in your personal details, household information, and location. Once registered, you can immediately start booking water collection slots.
How does the booking system work?
After logging in, go to "New Booking" from your dashboard. Select your preferred date, choose a water source near you, pick an available time slot, and specify how many liters you need. Submit your booking for approval.
How much does water cost?
Water prices vary by source, typically ranging from 3-6 Ariary per liter. The exact price is shown when you select a water source during booking. Your account must have sufficient balance before booking.
How do I add funds to my account?
Contact your local CWAS coordinator to add funds to your account. They can accept cash payments and credit your account. You can view your balance anytime on your dashboard.
What if I miss my booking?
If you miss your scheduled time slot, your booking will be marked as "No Show" and you may need to create a new booking. Repeated no-shows may affect your priority score for future bookings.
How does the priority system work?
Priority is calculated based on household size, vulnerability status, and booking history. Larger families and those with special needs receive higher priority during peak times when slots are limited.
